Family as The Foundation of Civilization: A Strategy to Optimize Indonesian Demographic Bonus

Civilization is rooted in the value system as the foundation of a society. This value system is internalized and developed in families since childhood and will be strengthened through education and begin to enter society. The demographic bonus is currently happening to the Indonesian people. The age group that determines the development of civilization in the future is the children, since the value system is instilled at this age. The inculcation of these values occurs in the family environment. Therefore, to build a great and noble civilization, it is very important to build strong and resilient families. For this purpose, the paper formulates a strategy of family development policies based on five dimensions, namely spiritual, biological, psychological, sociological, and economical dimensions. This strategy must be implemented in a holistic and integrative manner.
